Toyota has been producing the Toyota Fortuner, sometimes referred to as the Toyota SW4, as a mid-size SUV since 2004. It is based on the Hilux pickup truck platform, with two or three rows of seats, and may be ordered with four wheels drive or rear wheel drive. It’s a part of the Hilux and Innova as well as Toyota’s IMV project for emerging countries.
The English word fortune is the source of the name Fortuner.[1]
Manufacturing
Although Thai and Japanese engineers created the first-generation Fortuner in Thailand, Toyota Australia, which also designed the second-generation model, designed the updated model in Australia together with the Hilux and Innova.[2]
Toyota provides the Hilux Surf in the medium body-on-frame SUV market.
Along with other utility vehicles including the Prado, Hilux, HiAce, and the 70 and 200 series Land Cruisers, the UN, governments, and organizations can purchase specialized versions of the vehicle with a naturally-aspirated 5L-E diesel engine.[3][4]

Indonesia
At Jakarta’s 13th Gaikindo Auto Expo on July 8, 2005, the Fortuner made its debut. At first, the Fortuner was imported from Thailand and offered for sale in two grade levels: 2.7 G (4×2) and 2.7 V (4×4). Both the base version with fabric upholstery and the Luxury grade with leather interior and a premium sound system were available for the rear wheel drive 2.7 G. Because vehicles with diesel engines greater than 2.5 liters are subject to stricter tax rules, Indonesia does not sell automobiles with the 3.0-liter diesel engine option .Later, in 2007, the 2.5 G model—which was equipped with a 2.5-liter diesel engine rated at 75 kW (102 PS; 101 hp)—was introduced to the market. It is connected to a manual 5-speed transmission. Afterwards, the Fortuner is
